Nipomo CSD - Southland
Wastewater Treatment Facility
In 2014, the Nipomo CSD
completed a replacement of the Southland WWTF, in order to meet limitations set
by the Regional Water Quality Control Board.
The upgrades included new primary solids removal by shaftless screw
screen and grit classifier, and extended aeration treatment (Parkson Biolac
system) and secondary clarification as well as sludge thickening and drying
facilities. Peter Sevcik, PE, District
Engineer, and Michael LeBrun, General Manager, will present this topic and
provide a brief tour of the new facilities.
